LOS ANGELES, CA – June 26th 2026 – Back Lot Music announces the release of Focus Features’ GIRLS LIKE GIRLS Original Motion Picture Score with music by composer Jessica Rose Weiss. Based on writer/director Hayley Kiyoko’s hit single and best-selling novel of the same name, GIRLS LIKE GIRLS is a heartfelt coming-of-age story set over the course of one sun-drenched summer, where new-girl-in-town Coley falls in love for the first time while learning to accept herself along the way. The film is in US theaters now, and the score album composed by Jessica Rose Weiss, is available everywhere digital music is sold and streamed. A compilation soundtrack featuring new music by Kiyoko is available from One Riot Music now.

Jessica notes, “I was so honored to write the score for Hayley Kiyoko’s beautiful and very personal film GIRLS LIKE GIRLS. I was also humbled to be asked to collaborate with her as a songwriter and producer on many of the songs featured in the film. Hayley is a true artist and an authentic spirit, and her tenacity and willingness to share her story allowed me to meet her at the depths of her experience and find a way to create a musical voice for her journey.”

ABOUT GIRLS LIKE GIRLS
It’s summer in small-town Oregon circa 2006, where quiet, pensive Coley (Maya da Costa) has moved to live with her estranged father Curtis (Zach Braff).
