REMINDERS OF HIM IS IN THEATERS NATIONWIDE TODAY
LOS ANGELES, CA – March 13, 2026 – Back Lot Music announces the release of Reminders of Him Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with music by award-winning composer Tom Howe. The soundtrack also features the original song “Light Over the Hill” by Grammy Award®-nominated artist Noah Cyrus, which was released on March 6, along with its full music video, which launched today. Additionally, the soundtrack features a cover of Coldplay’s “Yellow” performed by singer-songwriter Morgan Harper-Jones.
The literary phenomenon from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover becomes a transformative feature film about motherhood, forgiveness and the power of love to overcome even the worst mistake. The film opens in theaters nationwide today in North America, and the album is available everywhere digital music is sold and streamed.
Music played a formative role in the making of Reminders of Him, shaping how scenes were conceived long before the final score was composed. Director Vanessa Caswill often turned to songs while developing and staging scenes, using them to clarify rhythm, visual approach and performance. Those early references helped establish the tone on set and gave the cast and crew a shared point of reference as the film took shape.
“I’m not musical myself, but music gives me imagery,” Caswill says. “When I read a scene, I find the song that fits it. Once I have that, I can see the colors, the movement, the emotion. It’s also a way to collaborate. I asked the cast to share songs that helped them connect to their characters, which often helped them settle into the role. Music communicates things words can’t, and it helps me understand how to shape a moment.”
That process carried into Caswill’s collaboration with Emmy-nominated composer Tom Howe, who composed the film’s score. Howe’s work on Reminders of Him tracks the emotional current of the story without guiding the audience’s response, following the characters closely as the film moves between timelines and giving scenes the space to keep the focus on performance and dialogue.

ABOUT REMINDERS OF HIM
After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe; The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, Longlegs) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known.
When Diem’s custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna’s attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers; HIM, I Know What You Did Last Summer). As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.
The film’s cast includes screen legends Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and three-time Emmy winner Bradley Whitford (Get Out, The Handmaid’s Tale) as Diem’s grandparents, Grace and Patrick; Rudy Pankow (Outer Banks, Uncharted) as Scotty, Diem’s father; and Grammy winner and country music sensation Lainey Wilson (Yellowstone) as Kenna’s friend and coworker, Amy.
The supporting cast includes Jennifer Robertson (Schitt’s Creek) as Kenna’s landlord; Zoe Kosovic (The Smashing Machine) as Kenna’s daughter; Hilary Jardine (Holidazed) and Nicholas Duvernay (The White Lotus) as Ledger’s bar team; and, in her screen debut, Monika Myers as Kenna’s neighbor, Lady Diana.
Leading an all-female filmmaking team, Vanessa Caswill (Love at First Sight, Little Women mini-series) directs Reminders of Him from a screenplay by Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine, based on Hoover’s novel. The film is produced by Colleen Hoover (exec producer It Ends with Us, Regretting You), Lauren Levine (Bridge to Terabithia, exec producer, Confess series) and Gina Matthews (Isn’t it Romantic, 13 Going on 30), and is executive produced by Robin Mulcahy Fisichella.
